Agency Program Aide, SG-13 (CSEA – Administrative Services Unit)

The New York State Education Department's (NYSED) Chief Financial Officer’s Office of Financial Administration is seeking applicants for an Agency Program Aide position. Major responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Document unit procedures and best practices to ensure prompt processing of payment documents in the Statewide Financial System;
- Supervise and train support staff;
- Monitor and evaluate data errors and provide assistance to correct problems;
- Assist with communication to program offices and interdepartmental units; and
- Ensure that staff are operating within State and Federal laws, regulations, and guidelines.
Reassignment: One year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service as an Agency Program Aide.
§70.1 Transfer: One year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in a title SG-11 or above deemed eligible for transfer under §70.1 of the Civil Service Law
Eligible List Appointment: Candidates who are reachable on the Agency Program Aide eligible list may be considered for appointment.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: This will be a contingent permanent appointment. Promotions and transfers may change appointees’ negotiating unit. Applicants should be aware that changes in negotiating units may affect their salary, insurance, and other benefits.

*Leads to a maximum salary of $51,830 based on annual performance advances.
