The New York State Education Department’s Office of Information Technology Services is seeking applicants for the position of Information Technology Specialist 1. The incumbent of this position will be responsible for assisting with the support of the Department’s network and e-mail system. The tasks associated with this position will include but not be limited to:
Occasional off-shift work is required for this position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have one year of permanent competitive service as a Computer Programmer/Analyst or Information Technology Specialist 1 OR be reachable on the Information Technology Specialist 1 eligible list OR be eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 or 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: This will be a permanent contingent appointment.
*Salary leads to $46,041 through annual performance advances. It is anticipated that the starting salary of this position will increase once the PEF contract is ratified.
