*Position will likely be filled on this shift.  If current staff bid to change shifts, their current shift assignment will be backfilled.

**$550 Inconvenience Pay will be added to annual salary for these shifts.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must be reachable on Civil Service list or eligible for transfer.  In the event that the eligible list is exhausted, provisional appointments will be made pending a new examination.  Provisional appointments require that candidates be currently licensed by the NYS Department of State as a Security Guard and have six months of post-licensure experience.

Employees in the NYSCOPBA who are in a Security Officer position and wish to bid on a shift should:

  1. Obtain an Application for Employment, Form PD-40, from the Office of Human Resources Management, Room 528, East Wing, EB, Albany, NY 12234.
  2. Complete the application, including the employee's date of initial appointment to State service.
  3. Return the application to the Office of Human Resources Management by the Closing Date.
