Alert #05-3

New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH)

School/Preschool Supportive Health Services Program (SSHSP/PSHSP)

Medicaid in Education Unit

Issue #05-3

TO:                      All SSHSP/PSHSP Medicaid Providers

FROM:                NYSDOH SSHSP/PSHSP Medicaid in Education Unit

DATE:                 August 11, 2005

SUBJECT:          CYCLE 1456 PROCESSING & MISSING

ELECTRONIC REMITTANCE (MR) INFORMATION

This alert is to inform all SSHSP and PSHSP providers that Cycle 1456 processing (for claims submitted in June, 2005) has been rejected because of a programming problem at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC).  CSC will need to resubmit these rejected claims for processing.  Consequently, Central New York Regional Information Center (CNYRIC) will need to hold the Cycle 1461 submission (for claims submitted in July, 2005) until the CSC programming problem has been corrected and the original Cycle 1456 claims have been processed and approved.  We anticipate that Cycle 1461 processing will be delayed by one or two weeks.

Again, please note that CNYRIC has not received any electronic Medicaid remittance (MR) information since payment Cycle 1440 due to technicalities with the eMedNY process at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC).  This missing electronic remittance information needs to be recreated by CSC.  Therefore, when CNYRIC is supplied this missing electronic remittance information by CSC, the missing remittance information files (MR) and reports will be posted on the report website.

For any questions/comments regarding this alert, please contact your Regional Information Center representative or your New York State Department of Health Medicaid in Education representative.
