SUBJECT: NYS OMIG ORGANIZATIONAL TRANSITION UPDATE
This alert is to inform all SSHSP and PSHSP providers that effective March 3, 2006, the Office of the Medicaid Inspector General will oversee all activities of the Department of Health’s Bureau of Revenue Initiatives, Medicaid in Education Unit. Please note that all letterhead and fax cover sheets from the Medicaid in Education Unit will now read, “Office of the Medicaid Inspector General, Kimberly A. O’Connor, Medicaid Inspector General”.
This transition from the Office of Medicaid Management to the Office of the Medicaid Inspector General will not adversely affect or impede upon the day-to-day operation of the SSHS and PSHS programs.
All contact telephone numbers, mailing and e-mail addresses will remain the same.
Please note two title changes; Michael Albino is the Assistant Director of the Bureau of Revenue Initiatives and Laura Scannevin’s title is Deputy Director of the Medicaid in Education Unit.
