OAS Audit Reports
OSC Audit Reports
IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE SELECTING ONE OF THE ABOVE
AUDIT REPORT CATEGORIES.
Audit reports are available in the following formats:
HTML - HyperText Markup Language. These files can be opened with your web
browser. These files can be downloaded quickly, however, auditee responses are not
included in this format and some of the format does not convert exactly to HTML from
the original Microsoft Word format. These files can be used by the visually
impaired and the search feature on the OAS Home Page will search within an
HTML document.
PDF - Portable Document Files. These files
can be downloaded quickly, however auditee responses are not included with the report.
For reports issued after July 1, 2000, the response will be scanned
and saved in the PDF
format and will be named as "PDF." We anticipate receiving
auditee responses in electronic form in the future. PDF files require a
suitable reader and, therefore, cannot be read or
printed with standard word processor programs. If you
do not have Adobe Acrobat reader on your computer, you can download the free reader here. These files
are best for printing out an exact copy of the report. This format cannot,
however, be used by
the visually impaired or be used with the search feature on the OAS Home Page.
TIFF - Tagged Image File Format. These images were
scanned from reports by the New York State Library. These files are larger than both
HTML or PDF formats and take much longer to download, especially if you are connected with a
modem. Many contain auditee responses. They can be viewed from your browser
using any one of a number of graphic applications capable of handling TIFF (Group 4 Fax)
images. If you do not have one of these applications, you can download one of the
following [Download
Imaging for Windows] or [DocView].
These files are recommended for printing if you want the auditee response
included. The images may appear very large. We recommend setting the
viewing percent at 10 to 20 percent. The image is not as clear as a PDF file and,
similarly, cannot be used by the visually impaired or used with the search feature. Once
we begin receiving auditee responses in electronic form, there will be no need to include
our reports in the TIFF format.
