REGENTS ACTIONS IN 50 PROFESSIONAL DISCIPLINE CASES
AND 2 RESTORATION PETITIONS

April 22-23, 2013

The Board of Regents announced disciplinary actions resulting in the surrender of 13 licenses as well as 37 other disciplinary actions. The penalty indicated for each case relates solely to the misconduct set forth in that particular case. In addition, the Board acted upon 2 restoration petitions.

I.  SURRENDERS

MASSAGE THERAPY

Anthony W. Courcy; Liverpool, NY 13090-1076; Lic. No. 025428; Cal. No. 26597; Application to surrender license granted.  Summary: Licensee admitted to charges of having been convicted of moral unfitness in the practice of massage therapy and obtaining a license fraudulently.

NURSING

The Board of Regents voted on April 23, 2013 to deny the application for restoration of the physician license of Saris Enrique Segarra, New York, NY.  Dr. Segarra’s license was originally surrendered February 24, 2000.
