• To reduce disproportionate representation by race and ethnicity, we are trying to prevent inappropriate referrals to special education:

  • Funding a Statewide Technical Assistance Center on Disproportionality at New York University.

  • We require districts to review policies, procedures and practices if they have high rates of disproportionality.
