Planting the Seed

• Two key components: First, members from the 750,000-strong professions licensed by the Board of Regents will reach out to at-risk students and mentor individuals. Cost: $1 mil.

• Second, students and their counselors, parents, and teachers will have a single website that provides key information about career options, educational requirements, and links to college programs and financial aid and grants. Nothing else now exists to provide this kind of comprehensive information to students.
