STATEMENTS REGARDING APPOINTMENT OF
DENNIS M. WALCOTT AS NEW YORK CITY SCHOOLS CHANCELLOR
"I commend Mayor Bloomberg on his selection of Dennis Walcott as Chancellor of the New York City Public Schools. I have known Dennis for nearly two decades and know of his deep personal commitment to New York City’s million public school children. He has been an outstanding partner to the Board of Regents and the State Education Department in our ongoing effort to ensure all of our students succeed. I look forward to continuing our work together as he assumes the leadership of New York City’s public schools."
