Contacting the STAC, Special Aids and Medicaid Unit
The STAC and Special Aids Unit receives numerous requests from agencies seeking information about the approval and reimbursement for special education services. If you have questions about any aspect of STAC processing, you can either e-mail your question to the STAC, Special Aids and Medicaid Unit or call the office at (518) 474-7116. The best time to call our office is between 8:30 a.m. and noon. A member of the STAC Unit will respond to your information request as soon as possible. To check the status of an approval, you may access our system directly through the Internet with a valid user code and password. You may also call our office and ask the person answering your call to assist you with the status check.
