Subject: | Desk Review Timeline and Training for 2019-2020 SSHSP Cost Reports |
The purpose of this Alert is to remind SSHSP providers that all filed annual SSHSP Cost Reports are subject to desk review process. PCG will begin releasing these reviews of the SSHSP reported costs for the 2019-2020 school year the week of January 10, 2022. The desk review process closely examines each district and countys reporting information including:
- quarters reported for annual payroll information;
- IEP ratio student counts;
- transportation ratios; and
- annual contract and tuition costs.
Reported costs and ratios are compared against statewide thresholds, outlier costs are identified and reviewed to ensure compliance, and cost reports are checked against prior year cost reports to identify any major changes.
During the week of January 10th, Public Consulting Group (PCG) will be conducting two 2019-2020 desk review trainings. Both trainings will be the same, and there are no major changes to the desk review process from last year (the 2018-2019 report). Both trainings will demonstrate the desk review process, which includes information on PCGs role in the process, common errors, explains why edits are triggered, and what is expected from the counties and school districts in terms of responding to edits.
The desk review webinar trainings will be held at the below dates and times.
