The annual cost report identifying the costs incurred for the July 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021 school year will open April 25, 2022 and must be filed and certified by June 17, 2022. To assist school districts and counties in this process, the NYS Department of Health’s contractor, Public Consulting Group LLC (PCG), will be conducting CPE Cost Report trainings from April 26, 2022 through May 5, 2022. The trainings will be provided via online WebEx, and a pre-recorded system demonstration will also be available through the PCG Claiming System. These sessions and the recording are limited to the annual School Supportive Health Services Program (SSHSP) cost reporting aspects of the certified public expenditure (CPE) component of the SSHSP.
Please be advised that if your school district/county billed Medicaid for specialized transportation during the 2020-2021 school year, your school district/county is required to report all transportation costs and ratios in the cost report. There will be no exceptions to not reporting.
The following relevant employees are recommended to attend one 60-minute training session or listen to the training recording: School district/county employees responsible for submission or development of cost reports; RMTS coordinators; and school district/county compliance officers (if applicable). Participation in a WebEx session or listening to the training is not mandatory but is strongly encouraged for staff responsible for filling out the cost report. Each of the trainings is identical, so you only need to attend one.
For those who attend, registration is required. Participants may register at any time prior to the start of a session by clicking on the applicable “Register Here” link in the following NYSSHSP WebEx Training Schedule. An email confirming the registration was successful will be sent.
