Subject: 2022-23 Certified Public Expenditure (CPE) Cost Report Timeline

The purpose of this Alert is to inform SSHSP providers of the annual cost report identifying the costs incurred for the July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023, school year will open May 20, 2024, and must be filed and certified by June 28, 2024. To assist school districts and counties in this process, the NYS Department of Health’s contractor, Public Consulting Group LLC (PCG), will be providing a pre-recorded training and system demonstration, available through the PCG Claiming System. The recorded training and system demonstration are limited to the annual School Supportive Health Services Program (SSHSP) cost reporting aspects of the certified public expenditure (CPE) component of the SSHSP.

NOTICE:

As a reminder, if your district/county billed Medicaid for specialized transportation during the 22-23 school year, your district/county is required to report all direct transportation costs and ratios in the cost report, there will be no exceptions to not reporting.

The following relevant employees are recommended to view the recorded training session: School district/county employees responsible for submission or development of cost reports; RMTS coordinators; and school district/county compliance officers (if applicable).
